MY PERSONAL JOURNEY
Purpose is patient. It waited 13 years.
From a prayer in 2003 to a vision board in 2016 to a certification that confirmed what was always true — this is how I got here.
REBUILDING
Third Quarter
I was a Customer Service lead sitting in a job that did not fit. Every morning felt wrong. One day I said out loud to God: "I know I wasn't born to do this." That prayer changed the entire trajectory of my life. What followed was a journey I never could have mapped — mortgage lending, the FDIC, Washington DC, helping build the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau from the ground up in 2011.
TRANSITIONING
The Mid-Career Pause
Life was good. The work was meaningful. But somewhere in the middle of a full, purposeful life I made a vision board. In the corner — almost as a whisper — I wrote one word. Coaching. I did not act on it right away. I told myself the CFPB was enough. But purpose is patient. It does not give up on you.
LAUNCHING
The Young Adult
When the ground beneath my career began to shift I did not panic. I looked at that vision board and realized — it was always leading here. Today I am a certified Becoming You Coach through NYU Stern, a conflict coach since 2020, and a Florida Real Estate agent. But most importantly — I am someone who has lived the question I help others answer. Who am I, really?
